TATTOO AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS

Reap & Sow Tattoo Aftercare Instructions:

tattoosbyalicia@gmail.com

DAY ONE:
Covering your tattoo with plastic will help your tattoo heal faster and prevent scar tissue and scabbing.
Leave your tattoo covered in this plastic until the next morning.
If you need to re-apply the plastic wrap, wash your tattoo, pat it dry, allow it to breath, and then re-apply plastic before you go to bed.

DAY TWO:
Remove plastic bandage in the morning
and wash tattoo off in warm water by lathering an unscented and mild soap,
something like Dial or Dove,
gently with fingers.
Pat your tattoo dry (again, be gentle!) with a CLEAN towel.
Let your tattoo breathe all day, and wear loose clothing over it.
Do not put anything on your tattoo!!!
BEFORE YOU GO TO BED,
wash your tattoo off with soap and water and pat it dry.
RE-WRAP your tattoo with a new piece of plastic wrap and leave it on over night.

DAY THREE:
Wash your tattoo off with soap and water.
Your tattoo may begin to feel dry today, if so, use a mild and unscented lotion,
We recommend LUBRIDERM
DO NOT USE ANY OINTMENTS ON YOUR TATTOO.
This includes Neosporin, A&D, Tattoo Goo, etc. Petroleum based products are the worst thing for your new tattoo
Lotion your tattoo a maximum of 3-4 times a day,
over lotioning will cause your skin to break out.
Your tattoo will flake and peel like a sunburn.
Do not pick, rub, scratch, or bump your tattoo.

It takes a FULL MONTH for your skin to return to normal after getting tattooed.
With this in mind, you have to protect your new tattoo.

No soaking your new tattoo in water for a month
This includes the bathtub, pool, lake, ocean, etc.
Showering however, is okay.

No direct sunlight on the tattoo for a month
Your new tattoo is EXTREMELY succeptible to sunburn.
Sun exposure on your new tattoo creates scar tissue, which is NO FUN.

Blatant disregard for the recommended aftercare instructions will cause your new tattoo to heal improperly. Reap & Sow will not be liable for complimentary touch-ups if you do not take care of your tattoo.
